I do not live near a good asian market so please don’t recommend "go to your local asian market and pick up a can of sauce".
If you do recommend a product please be as specific as possible so i may try to order it.
I have heard the restaurants buy the stuff in powder form and that it is made of geletin and liquified with pineaplle juice but all my attempts have failed.
I am not interested in homemade recipes using ketchup and such…i want the real deal chinese restaurant bright red sticky super sweet red sauce. I have been looking for over a year and I am DESPERATE!
I am desperate for the chinese restaurant sweet and sour sauce recipe or exact product information.
I know there are many variations of the chinese restaurant sweet and sour sauce recipes and I have heard of many different ingredients ranging from ketchup to corn syrup. I am not interested in "authentic chinese" (my best friend is Chinese so I know that this sauce is not true authentic chinese).
I am looking specifically for that bright hued super sweet sauce. Though each place has their own recipe they all taste VERY similar…I am looking for an exact recipe-not hints or tips.
The nearest asian market is 100 miles from where I live so buying a jar of sweet and sour is not an option. The local restaurant for their recipe (they won’t give it for obvious reasons). So those recommendations will not help.
I have tried all the products in super markets and many online recipes….none of them taste like the restaurant stuff.
TRULY DESPERATE…please help.

They used to make a fresh, open-faced peach pie. They still make a fresh open-faced strawberry pie. Does anyone have any similar recipies? I couldn’t find an open-faced peach pie online. All their recipies cooked the peaches.

I am trying to re-create a Chiptole fajita veggie burrito at home. I have recipes for the cilantro-lime rice and roasted corn salsa. Since everything in the burrito is combined, it is hard to tell if the sauteed veggies and black beans have any sort of seasoning, or are prepared in any certain way. If anyone works at Chipotle and can let me know, that would be great. Also, how do they get their tortillas so stretchy?

We are a small restaurant in Romania, that provide food for the occasional weddings and graduation parties. For now we have the following menu of dishes:
- hommis (veg.): cooked cickpeas blended with seasame puree, spices and lemon juice
- tuna steak
- lamb chops
- fresh cat stew
- Chicken kabab
As for drinks, we serve wine and beer.
We wish to expand and diversify our offer, so please offer your advice of what else we can prepare for people’s delight – you can just say what’s more popular in your region and I will make up a list. Thank you.
I was just asking on advice of how to improve our service. If you don’t like our current menus, or if the restaurats in your county don’t consume cats – that’s fine. Just take it easy on me.
Chicken kabab and tuna steak are being the most popular so far – but people like cat stew too. We just deliver the food – so people already have them on the table when they arrive and they can choose whatever they like. I got the cat recepy from a Chinese chief and adjusted some ingredients to fit our limited buged. That is not our main course, so just about 20 pounds a week are being prepared. We had no serious complaints so far, but we’ve kinda run out of ideas.

You know, the ones where they duplicate the recipes from various chain restaurants……
What did you try to make?
How hard was it to make, and did it look and taste like the original?

I’m a bit confused about the recipes aspect of the game. I got enough ingredients together to level up to 2 on one of my desserts. What’s the point of doing this if it doesn’t make me more money when its served? At what point will my dishes make more money. I can’t seem to find the answer in the games knowledgebase. Thanks in advance!

Have never found any Chinese Restaurant Recipes that really taste like the ones we eat in the restaurants. Has anyone copied any of the regulars, I.E. Garlic chicken, Mongolian beef, etc.? The texture of the beef in Chinese restaurant meals is different as well. What cut of "beef" are they normally using? I have heard flank.

My wife has a lot of recipes that she has learned over the years. Mostly Chinese and Filipino foods but some American French and Italian. So she refuses to give out her secrets…and more then one person said "a recipe not shared is a recipe lost" is that right?
