I’ve been meaning to update with this AMV for a long time, but unfortunately, this week one of my classmates died, and since then everything has just been… a daze, really. I didn’t know the girl very well – all I know was that her death was extremely sudden, and no one knew that she was ill up until it was too late. Mm… the only thing that has really managed to cheer me up apart from hours at a time on CakeMania 2 was Pai saying ‘yeah we gotta good thing goin’ on’ in this AMV. The couples are Ichigo/Kisshu, Lettuce/Pai and Taruto/Pudding – my favourite couples ^^. I now have… I think… 25 episodes between 1 and 46. I hope to build up the collection, as I found it very hard to find Pai/Lettuce scenes. I expect that’ll be easier, as I just finished the series and need to download the cute episodes. Several years ago a friend & I went to a authentic Lebaniese restaurant and had a wonderful meal. One of the dishes I had was a salad called, "Tabbouleh", which was made with Parsley as the base, not lettuce. It had very little bulgar wheat in it. The sauce/dressing had a hint of a lemony taste. I remember it having a couple of Calamata Olives in it, b/c we had to remove the pits. This salad was absolutely wonderful!! For the past several years, I’ve tried many recipes that I’ve found on the internet, but nothing comes close to the one I had in the restaurant. All the recipes I find have way too much wheat in them and more of a minty flavor, which is not that good. I’ve tried using less wheat, but I’m still doing something wrong…I’m not getting that wonderful flavor I had before. I swear, I could eat a gallon of it right now. It was just that good.

Ingredients: 1 pound ground beef 1 teaspoon salt 1 small onion, finely chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin 15 oz. can refried beans 15 oz. can chili with no beans 1 package of 10 flour tortillas (I used 7″-size, and had enough filling left over to freeze for another package of 10 later.) shredded sharp cheddar cheese (about 1 cup, or to taste) cooking oil spray Brown1 pound ground beef with 1 teaspoon salt, 1 small chopped onion, 1 clove minced garlic, and 1/2 teaspoon cumin, stirring continuously over low heat. When brown and crumbly, add a 15 oz. can of refried beans and a 15 oz. can of chili with no beans. Stir together thoroughly. Spoon equal amounts of meat mixture on each tortilla, roll tortillas, and place seam side down in a baking dish that has been sprayed with cooking oil. Sprinkle with about 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (more, if desired). Bake, covered with aluminum foil at 325 degrees for 10 minutes. In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make a Chicken Salad Sandwich that closely resembles the chicken salad served at an upscale restaurant in Lexington, KY. You can serve this as a sandwich or as a salad. (Both are demonstrated.) Ingredients: 15 oz. canned white chicken chunks (I used Valley Fresh brand, one 10 oz. can and one 5 oz. can. You may use leftover chicken, cut into chunks. ) 1/2 cup finely chopped celery 1/2 cup halved red seedless grapes (You may use green seedless grapes.) 1/4 finely chopped pecans (I used an electric kitchen chopper, but you may leave them in larger pieces, if desired.) 1/2 cup mayonnaise croissants, as many as you need (You can make this healthier with 100% whole wheat bread slices.) freshly washed and dried lettuce leaves In a medium to large mixing bowl, combine 15 oz. chunked chicken, 1/2 cup chopped celery, 1/2 cup halved grapes, 1/4 cup chopped pecans, and 1/2 cup mayonnaise. Stir until well-combined. Split a croissant in half horizontally. If desired, broil the cut sides of the croissant to keep them from absorbing the chicken salad filling. Now, place a couple of fresh lettuce leaves on the bottom half of the croissant, put a generous amount of chicken salad on top of the lettuce, and cap it off with the top half of the croissant. I just had a pack of Ramen noodles for lunch for the first time today. A lot of my friends adore Ramen and it’s so cheap that i thought it wouldn’t hurt to try (it’s like $.50 where i live). I tried it today and really liked it. I looked at the nutritional values as I was cooking it and wasn’t too impressed, so i chopped some carrots and lettuce to put in it. For some reason, it didn’t seem like enough.

Do you know any healthy, meat-free recipes with Ramen noodles? I’m not vegetarian, but my mother won’t let me cook meat by myself (why?), so if your recipes have meat in them that’s fine (I can always use canned, lol).

Also, while I’m asking about oriental food recipes, does anybody know how to make that saucy stuff that’s on Lo Mein noodles from the oriental restaurants? I love that stuff.

ok so I’m trying to make a really good meal but havent figured out the specifics. this is what I have so far…
meatball soup, I know I want it to have cilantro, turkey meatballs, mini-bowtie pasta, & a clear-ish broth…
sun-dried tomato french bread with a little parmesan-mushroom gravy over the top.
a garden salad with romaine lettuce, green onions, mushrooms, olives, radishes, purple cabbage shreds, & some kind of vinagrette or green goddess type dressing.
Dessert is some sort of sour cream cinnamon crumb cake
not sure about the drink…possibly a sparkling oarnge & rosehip tea. Whatever it is cant have alcohol.
