I own a small-town cafe. We have a small-ish but loyal clientele. I am looking for items to add to the menu or offer as periodic specials with a low total food cost. Thanks for your help!

Does anyone have any good recipes for drinks that they found in a restaurant? All the good drinks always come from a restaurant and cost ! I like fruity drinks….

I am trying to re-create a Chiptole fajita veggie burrito at home. I have recipes for the cilantro-lime rice and roasted corn salsa. Since everything in the burrito is combined, it is hard to tell if the sauteed veggies and black beans have any sort of seasoning, or are prepared in any certain way. If anyone works at Chipotle and can let me know, that would be great. Also, how do they get their tortillas so stretchy?

I need some good recipes from the restaurant Cracker Barrel. Can someone show me a place to get restaurant-quality versions of cracker barrel recipes?
I’m especially interested in the meatloaf and hash brown casserole.

Have never found any Chinese Restaurant Recipes that really taste like the ones we eat in the restaurants. Has anyone copied any of the regulars, I.E. Garlic chicken, Mongolian beef, etc.? The texture of the beef in Chinese restaurant meals is different as well. What cut of "beef" are they normally using? I have heard flank.

The food I introduce is well recognize by the customers here and the biz to the restaurant has picked up very well. Like wise, I would like to introduce my recipes to other restaurants too in Mindanao Philipines. Please advise me.

My wife has a lot of recipes that she has learned over the years. Mostly Chinese and Filipino foods but some American French and Italian. So she refuses to give out her secrets…and more then one person said "a recipe not shared is a recipe lost" is that right?

Ok, I know you guys know the answer to this….so PLEASE gimme some "copy cat" restaurant recipes, ok?
ANYTHING and EVERYTHING! I wanna know your favorite "famous" recipe…whether it’s the recipe for Wendy’s Frosties or a recipe for Applebee’s Rice Pilaf (one of my personal faves)…just post a *real* answer, ok?
Didn’t get a good response the other night, so I thought I’d try again. I think it’s an interesting question, don’t you?
Come on, get to sharing those recipes/responses! Thanks in advance!

I know the olive garden does, but I want to have a better collection of restaurant recipes. Please give the actual names of the restaurants, not just a sight that doesn’t send you to the actual page. I want to make sure they are the exact recipe, and not just attempted duplicates.

If a person were to open a small, independently-owned restaurant, is it a requirement to use only original recipes? I mean, obviously, you wouldn’t want to copy the recipes from other restaurants or major chains, but is it legal to use a published cookbook for your recipes?

First a little history.
We are from Tennessee. Back in the 1980’s our family started a Catfish restaurant in Franklin, Tn. In the early 90’s my family sold that place, and over the years have started very successful places. We only sold those successful places due to being in crowded areas and having the land being bought out by multi million dollar businesses.
Today
So after years of not having a restaurant, we opened one back in a small town, and people love it. Business is o.k., but we would like better than o.k. We are looking for smart , clever business ideas , that will get people coming in more.
We have done some of the "normal" stuff.
We created business cards and on the back had small values that people could use.
We are thinking about supporting a Charity day, and supporting a cancer research team, and donating profits to charity.
What are other ideas that you can come up with. I am looking for the witty, clever answers. Something that generates buzz about our place. To get people to realize that our Famous family restaurant recipes are back, and to get the buzz generated to the younger generation, and to get them in there as well.
Some info you might need
1. We are a small place with 50 seats.
2. Its a homestyle atmosphere. We bring all of the food out on a big plate and allow them to pass around.
3. We have Catfish, Fried Chicken, Butterfly Shrimp, Country Fried Steak, Chicken Tenders, Hushpuppies, Wedgecuts, Slow Cooked White Beans, Creamy Slaw , Pickles and Onions on the menu. From Hushpuppies on ward its is ALL U CAN EAT SIDES.
4. We are in a very small town, although about 20 minutes from the city.
Please send in your ideas. Generally Low Cost advertising ideas, Witty and clever. We need to generate buzz, and I know there is some good ideas, that my brain just can not come up with. Thanks for your help, time, and consideration into this request.
Thanks,
Matthew R.
We are located in Pegram , Tn. In Cheatham county. We started a place back in the 80’s called Uncle Buds catfish. We sold it and started other places, and now have The Best Little Catfish place.

would that be considered plagiarism or copyright infringement if you just used the recipes from the cook book instead of figuring them out on your own?
i mean, I wouldn’t take credit for them or anything, claiming they’re my recipes.
but would I have to give credit to the cook who wrote the cookbook, or could I just serve them in my restaurant and charge for them?
